Soulcrate: Two nights, Nov. 23 and 24

A Soulcrate double-header is coming up later this month, but better get your tickets now.

On Nov. 1 more than 1,000 people already had “liked” the Soulcrate show event page on Facebook, saying they’ll be at the Nov. 23 and 24 shows at Boonies. But capacity each night is 350 tickets – someone’s going to be disappointed.

It’s a nostalgia trip for the band, and a treat for the fans.

“We came up at Boonies, back when it was called Nuttys North. We played there A LOT from 2006 to 2010,” the band’s Facebook page post says. “We watched our crowd grow from small and fun to crazy and sold out.

“We eventually outgrew it and had to look to bigger rooms to play. It was an exciting time for us. So we decided to get all nostalgic on your ass and return to Boonies for a couple nights in November.”

So it’s a two-night party, with opening regional groups that have been gaining a following: Mally and Nikko McFadden on night one, and Sims (Doomtree) and Northstarr on night two.

Watch for some new material from Soulcrate, and of course many of the old favorites, the band says.

Operating under the mission statement/hip-hop credo “Rap Music From The Middle Of Nowhere,” Soulcrate is Sioux Falls boys DJ Absolute, Attn: Def and Dirt Dee. Follow them on Twitter, too.
